Pay by text

The reviewed Dothan utility pages do not publish a Pay by Text bill-payment keyword or short code. The MyUsage profile and app provide account alerts and autopay; customers should enroll through MyUsage and confirm whether text alerts or payment replies are enabled for their account.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Utility Collections is at 126 N. Saint Andrews Street, Room 105, inside the Dothan Civic Center, open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Payment kiosks are listed at Dothan Civic Center, Westgate Park, Dothan Utilities Complex, the Civic Center overflow lot, Fire Station 6 and Wiregrass Recreation Center; the reviewed page does not provide every kiosk's daily hours. Customers with a scheduled cutoff must notify Collections after paying online because an Internet payment does not automatically remove a delinquent account from cutoff.

MyUsage accepts online one-time payments and registered-account payments; the City identifies Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit/debit cards and e-check. Card payments have a service fee, while e-check is accepted without an additional fee. The reviewed pages do not identify Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Visa, Mastercard and Discover credit/debit payments are charged 1% per transaction with a $2.50 minimum. E-check payments are accepted online at no additional charge.

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Dothan Utilities - Water and Wastewater and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
