What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Huntington Beach requires leaks, breaks, or other malfunctions in a customer’s plumbing or distribution system to be repaired within 24 hours after City notification unless another arrangement is made. The City’s public materials emphasize water-use monitoring and meter accuracy, but do not publish a current automatic hidden-leak credit formula, repair-receipt deadline, or maximum bill adjustment. A customer should document the leak, repair promptly, retain invoices, and request a case-specific review from Municipal Utility Services; the City code provides meter accuracy-test procedures and deposits but not a standard private-leak percentage credit.
