Payment channels

Pay City of Morgan Hill Utility Services & Billing / Water Division

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as OnlineBiller; the City’s official Contact Us, Finance directory, and Water Billing pages link directly to the billpay.onlinebiller.com Morgan Hill portal.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

(408) 779-7221 is the Utility Billing customer-service number. The City does not publish a separate automated IVR payment number or a documented telephone prompt sequence; callers should use Utility Billing during the posted Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. service window.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. The City publishes OnlineBiller online payment, automatic-payment, mail, drop-box, and staff-assisted payment channels, but no Pay by Text short code, keyword, opt-in command, or enrollment procedure is published on its current utility pages.

Mail-in address

City of Morgan Hill, PO Box 889439, Los Angeles, CA 90088-9439. Customers should include the utility account number and payment stub so the remote lockbox can credit the payment to the correct account.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Utility Services & Billing is located at City Hall, 17575 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, CA 95037, and provides walk-in water services Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Payments may also be placed in the drop box outside City Hall. The City’s current Contact Us page does not enumerate a separate cashier counter, retail payment agents, or a complete list of accepted desk instruments; customers should confirm whether cash, check, money order, or card is available for a particular in-person transaction before visiting.

What you can use online

The City’s OnlineBiller portal supports online credit/debit-card payment and electronic-check/ACH payment, and the City says existing automatic-payment enrollment continues through the upgraded billing system. The public utility pages do not identify the card-network brands, mobile wallets, PayPal, Venmo, or text-to-pay as supported methods, so those methods should not be assumed without confirmation from Utility Billing.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. The current Morgan Hill utility pages and July 1, 2026 rate schedule publish the 1.5% delinquency penalty and service-request fees but do not publish a separate OnlineBiller credit/debit-card or ACH convenience-fee amount. Any processor fee displayed at checkout should be treated as the controlling 2026 amount.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by City of Morgan Hill Utility Services & Billing / Water Division and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
