Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
30 days from the bill date is the normal due window. The City says accounts remaining unpaid after 60 days from the bill date are subject to disconnection.
Late-fee calculation
A 10% penalty applies to balances paid after the delinquent-after date, described as 30 days after services are rendered. The June 2026 master fee schedule additionally lists a $165 delinquent surcharge, a $25 first returned-payment charge, and $35 for second and subsequent returned payments.
Disconnection timeline
Bills are mailed every other month and are generally due within 30 days. If unpaid after 60 days from the bill date, the account is subject to disconnection and further service charges. For June 2026 fees, the City lists a $111 business-hours reconnection charge and a $151 after-hours surcharge, in addition to the delinquent balance and listed delinquent surcharge where applicable.
