Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
San Diego accepts a water-bill adjustment request only for a non-irrigation concealed pipe leak. Irrigation leaks, swimming-pool leaks, and ordinary plumbing-fixture leaks do not qualify for the published adjustment when bills were sent timely. The account holder must provide the service address, telephone and email contact, date the leak was discovered, repair date, and a copy of the repair invoice or receipt. The request must be received within 120 days of the first high bill associated with the concealed leak; late requests are not considered. Customers may submit online or call 619-515-3500 during 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m. weekday hours. A team member generally reviews the request and sends a decision in six to eight weeks, with the web page also describing an eight-to-ten-week notification window. The current public page does not state one universal percentage or dollar formula, so the adjustment amount is account-specific.
