Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

The current Hollywood bill-payment page describes Paymentus online account registration, daily consumption history, direct debit, and an IVR, but does not publish a separate pay-by-text keyword, short code, or opt-in sequence. Customers should use the Paymentus portal or contact Utility Customer Service at (954) 921-3938 for current SMS-payment availability.

Mail-in address

City of Hollywood, Utility Bill Processing Center, P.O. Box 229187, Hollywood, FL 33022-9187. The City instructs customers to mail the full amount due with the payment stub, make checks or money orders payable to City of Hollywood, write the account number on the instrument, and never mail cash. What you can use online

Paymentus and the IVR accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, debit card, and eCheck. Customers can enroll in direct debit from a checking account, receive a monthly bill, review it for five working days before the scheduled draft, and cancel or question the draft before the payment date. The portal also provides bill images, consumption history, and daily consumption information.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

The current City page states that IVR payment is free and does not publish a universal Paymentus online convenience fee. Card/eCheck payment is credited on the next business day online, while payments after midnight may post within 48 hours in the portal. Customers should review the live Paymentus checkout disclosure for any processor-specific online fee.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by City of Hollywood Department of Public Utilities – Water and Wastewater and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
