Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
ECUA's current residential brochure and customer pages do not expose a universal due-date/grace-day number or a single late-fee trigger for all water accounts. Customers should use the due date printed on the monthly bill and contact ECUA Customer Service at (850) 476-0480 before delinquency.
Late-fee calculation
A universal 2026 late-fee percentage or flat penalty is not stated in the current residential brochure or the public bill-pay landing page reviewed. The rate materials do state a $20 returned-payment fee in one current fee schedule version for residential service, while older materials show different returned-check amounts; therefore the live bill and ECUA's current code control for delinquent-account penalties.
Disconnection timeline
The current public residential materials do not state one universal calendar progression from bill date to disconnection. ECUA does publish the delinquent processing/reconnection fee after service has been disconnected for nonpayment, so customers should contact (850) 476-0480 as soon as a past-due or cutoff notice appears and should not assume that an online payment alone has canceled a scheduled field order.
