Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

The primary customer service and drive-through location is 8755 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Customer service hours are 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and drive-through hours are 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; a check or money-order drop box is at the front right of the Goodwood location. The company also documents cash payments through Western Union Quick Collect at participating Walgreens, Albertsons, and Regions locations, with the applicable third-party fee. East Baton Rouge Parish customers may have a separate City-Parish office payment path for sewer, garbage, or other consolidated charges, which should not be confused with a Baton Rouge Water Company water payment.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

Speedpay accepts credit cards, debit cards, and ACH/e-check payments. Baton Rouge Water Company also offers automatic bank draft from a checking account; its enrollment page states that automatic draft has no convenience fee. The reviewed official pages do not claim Apple Pay or Google Pay support.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

Speedpay applies a third-party convenience fee to eligible card and electronic payments and displays the amount before the customer completes the transaction; the current Baton Rouge Water Company page does not publish one universal 2026 flat fee or percentage. Automatic bank draft is documented as having no convenience fee.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Baton Rouge Water Company and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
