Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions
Pay by text
BWSC's CSS Portal lets a customer add a mobile number, manage notification preferences, and receive electronic bill notifications by text; the new billing-system FAQ warns that carrier message and data rates may apply. The current public instructions do not document a text keyword that directly authorizes a payment, so the verified workflow is to register at customerportal.bwsc.org with the seven-digit account number and six-character activation code, enable E-Bill/SMS notifications, and make the payment through QuickPay, the logged-in portal, or the Paymentus IVR. BWSC may also send automated utility-account payment-obligation or service-disruption texts to a mobile number on file.
Mail-in address
Boston Water and Sewer Commission 980 Harrison Avenue Boston, MA 02119. Customers should enclose the bill stub and make checks or money orders payable as instructed on the current bill; the official residential billing page identifies this BWSC address for mailed payment.
