Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
30 days after the original mailing date before interest begins accruing; interest is computed from the bill due date.
Late-fee calculation
After 30 days from the original mailing date, interest accrues daily at 14% per year from the due date. At 60 days past due, Worcester sends a demand notice and charges a $5 demand fee for each delinquent bill; continuing delinquency after June 30 can result in a property tax lien.
Disconnection timeline
The reviewed FAQ describes interest, a 60-day demand notice, and possible tax-lien escalation, but not one universal physical water-termination day for every account.
