Pay Metropolitan Utilities District (M.U.D.) Water

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as Paymentus for Quick Pay and account payment; M.U.D. My Account provides authenticated billing and recurring-payment management.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

M.U.D.’s outage and emergency notification system went live June 1, 2026. Residential customers were automatically enrolled using the mobile number on file and receive outage/emergency text alerts when a water main break or other urgent event affects the neighborhood. Customers can update contact details through the district forms; HELP and STOP instructions apply, and carrier message/data rates may apply. This is an emergency-alert system rather than confirmed text-to-pay.

Mail-in address

Use the remittance stub from the bill and mail payment to Metropolitan Utilities District, P.O. Box 3600, Omaha, NE 68103.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Customers may use the drop box at the M.U.D. Operations Center entrance, 3100 South 61st Avenue, Gate 1; the location accepts check, cash, or money order but is closed to walk-in customer service. The district also lists Walmart Pay at any Walmart location in the United States. Call-center hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.; the reviewed pages do not identify a staffed payment counter.

What you can use online

Paymentus Quick Pay and M.U.D. My Account support online payment. The recurring-payment instructions identify credit card, debit card, and eCheck bank-account methods. Customers may also pay by automated phone menu and Walmart Pay. Apple Pay and Google Pay are not identified on the current utility pages.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. The public Quick Pay and recurring-payment pages do not state a universal card or eCheck convenience surcharge. Any processor charge should be confirmed in the Paymentus checkout; the district’s 2026 Billing Price Book separately governs service and turn-on fees.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Metropolitan Utilities District (M.U.D.) Water and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
