Payment channels

Pay Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA)

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as InvoiceCloud is identified by TMWA for paperless-billing preferences connected through the customer account experience; the TMWA portal does not identify a separate card-processing vendor on its public login page.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

(775) 834-8080, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for payment by checking account or major credit card. General Customer Service is available Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

TMWA's current public payment pages advertise paperless email billing and portal notifications but do not publish a TMWA-specific Text-to-Pay keyword, SMS short code, or text enrollment sequence. Customers can create a My Account profile with the account number from the bill and use the portal for payment and alerts; text-to-pay was not verified as an enabled TMWA payment method.

Mail-in address

TMWA, P.O. Box 12000, Reno, NV 89520-0006. Use the return envelope supplied with the monthly bill and allow sufficient mailing time; third-party payment timing does not excuse a late charge.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

TMWA accepts in-person payments at 1355 Capital Boulevard, Reno, NV 89502, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. A payment drop box is outside along Corporate Boulevard. CheckFreePay and Western Union locations are also available through the provider's locator; the official FAQ notes that Western Union charges a $1.50 fee. Customers should confirm accepted instruments at retail locations and retain receipts.

What you can use online

TMWA accepts online payments through the My Account portal using checking or savings accounts and major credit/debit cards; AutoPay can electronically deduct from a bank account or use the selected debit/credit method. The phone system accepts checking accounts and major credit cards. Apple Pay and Google Pay are not identified in TMWA's current official payment page.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

TMWA states that online checking/savings payments are free and that phone/online payment options are available without a fixed provider charge in its FAQ. The current official 2026 rate materials separately list a 5% late charge on amounts in arrears and local government pass-through fees; they do not publish a universal 2026 card convenience-fee amount. Western Union's official FAQ-listed retail fee is $1.50.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
