Pay NJ AMERICAN WATER - OCEAN CITY

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as American Water MyWater; Paymentus is the published pay-by-phone/guest-payment processor. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

1-855-748-6066 (24/7 automated payment line); customer service and emergencies: 1-800-272-1325

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

New Jersey American Water uses text alerts rather than a published text-to-pay workflow. Customers can update alert preferences in MyWater; the company’s local customer-transition pages instruct customers to text WATER to 24639 for emergency alerts. Standard text and data rates may apply. No text-to-pay keyword or payment authorization flow is currently published.

Mail-in address

Payment: New Jersey American Water, P.O. Box 371331, Pittsburgh, PA 15250-7331. Correspondence: New Jersey American Water, 1 Water Street, Camden, NJ 08102.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

New Jersey American Water directs customers to its online Payment Locations directory or to customer service for authorized payment locations. The current Ocean City rates and contact pages do not list a dedicated Ocean City walk-in counter or hours; customers should use the authorized-location directory and confirm accepted tender before traveling.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

MyWater supports online bill payment, account management, paperless billing, alerts, and automatic payments. The published pay-by-phone instructions specifically reference Visa and Mastercard, while the company’s payment materials also describe e-check/ACH and Paymentus processing. Exact instruments available in a particular 2026 checkout are controlled by the live MyWater/Paymentus screen.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

The current New Jersey customer-service page says a small fee applies to pay-by-phone payments but does not print the current 2026 amount. A prior official customer guide identified Paymentus at $1.95 per e-check, credit-card, or debit-card transaction; because the live page no longer states that amount, treat the current fee as checkout-displayed and verify before paying.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by NJ AMERICAN WATER - OCEAN CITY and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
