Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
UNM Bursar statements require payment by the stated due date; no universal water-account grace period was exposed. For Bursar balances, failure to pay by the due date can trigger a service charge and account holds.
Late-fee calculation
UNM Bursar states that a 1.2% service charge may be assessed on unpaid balances, with holds, payment-plan ineligibility, and possible collection referral. This is an institutional account rule, not a published residential water late fee.
Disconnection timeline
A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. For residential water shutoff. UNM describes continuous operation of campus utility plants and 24/7 operators; Bursar accounts that become seriously past due, including more than 120 days, may be referred to collections rather than following a household shutoff schedule.
