Payment channels

Pay City of League City Utility Billing / Water and Wastewater Services

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as Tyler Technologies Municipal Online Services / Utilities Access; the new portal is City-branded and provides sign-in, registration, and a no-login quick-pay path using the account number.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

(281) 554-1335, option 1, is the City's published telephone utility-payment route. The current public pages identify the option rather than publishing a separate 24/7 automated IVR schedule; the same number connects customers to Utility Billing during normal office operations.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. The current League City payment portal and utility pages do not publish a text-to-pay keyword, short code, or SMS payment enrollment workflow. The separate Sensus Water Usage Tracker can send customer-configured usage alerts by text or email, but those alerts are not a payment authorization service.

Mail-in address

City of League City/Utility Billing, P.O. Box 200933, Dallas, Texas 75320-0933. The City explains that a third-party lockbox processes mail-in checks and recommends mailing payments five to seven days before the due date to allow USPS and lockbox processing time.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Utility Billing, in-person payment, drive-through service, and the payment drop box are at City Hall, 300 W. Walker Street, League City TX 77573. Published counter and drive-through hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm and Friday 7:30am-noon. The current pages identify online, telephone, in-person, drive-through, drop-box, mail, and automatic-payment options; the City does not list separate staffed third-party payment counters. Customers should confirm whether a particular drop location accepts cash or only checks and money orders before using it.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

The Tyler portal supports online utility-bill payment and account registration; the City's current public payment pages do not provide a complete card-brand or wallet list in accessible text. Telephone payment is available through Utility Billing at (281) 554-1335, option 1. The City also offers automatic bank drafting using bank and routing information, with a voided check required for enrollment, and the portal supports e-billing. The City's current public materials do not separately confirm Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo, or a specific e-check checkout label.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

A dedicated this detail was not publicly posted. The current 2026 League City payment portal and public utility pages reviewed do not state a flat online card fee, percentage surcharge, or electronic-check fee. Any checkout disclosure should be treated as controlling for the transaction; same-day and after-hours service charges are separate utility-service fees.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by City of League City Utility Billing / Water and Wastewater Services and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
