What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Pearland offers Regular and High Volume billing adjustments through an online request. The account must generally have at least 12 months of prior consumption, or at least 6 months for a new account, with 6-12 months from a prior similar Pearland account potentially usable. Proof of repair is required, including a plumber receipt, repair-material receipts, or a written narrative for repairs to preexisting items. Billed monthly usage must be at least three times the recent 12-month average; High Volume additionally requires at least 20,000 gallons. A Regular Adjustment reduces qualified bill(s) by 40% and bars another adjustment for 12 months; a High Volume Adjustment reduces qualified bills to the customer’s 12-month average and bars another for 24 months. The request is reviewed individually, may take up to two billing cycles, and the customer remains responsible for payment or arrangements while it is pending.
