Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Seguin publishes a final payment date on the bill but does not state one universal current day count on the reviewed public pages. Texas law information on the City's account page permits an eligible residential customer age 60 or older, or a qualifying disabled customer, to request a penalty-free delay through the 25th day after the bill's issue date; the customer must apply in person with identification and meet the stated requirements.
Late-fee calculation
The City does not publish a general current percentage or flat late-fee calculation on the payment page. If the final payment date passes, the account appears on the cutoff list and a $20 water administrative fee is applied. Other penalties or deposits may be assessed according to account status; a $30 fee applies to returned checks or bank drafts.
Disconnection timeline
The printed bill's final payment date controls. After that date, the account can be placed on the cutoff list and charged the $20 water administrative fee. The City instructs customers with past-due accounts to call 830-401-2460 for arrangements; the public page does not publish a fixed number of days from cutoff-list placement to physical shutoff. Payment received before 2:00 p.m. is scheduled for reconnection the next business day, while a same-day after-hours water connection carries the separate $40 after-hours connection charge.
