Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
The official payment-methods notice requires payment to be received by 5:00 p.m. on the due date to avoid a late penalty; it does not state a separate grace-period day count.
Late-fee calculation
A late penalty applies when payment is not received by the due-date deadline, but the current public utility page does not expose the exact 2026 percentage or flat charge. Payments after 5:00 p.m. are credited on the next business day.
Disconnection timeline
The current portal warns that payments made before 8:00 a.m. on the disconnect date and payments made after service has been disconnected require the customer to notify the Water Department for restoration. A complete notice-to-cutoff day sequence is not published in the reviewed materials.
