Payment channels

Pay College Station Utilities (CSU) Water and Wastewater / Utility Customer Service

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as Paymentus Corp. is the City's authorized online bill-payment provider; the current customer portal is branded as the College Station Utilities Customer Portal and the City warns customers not to use other third-party payment applications.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

The City's 24-hour Utilities Dispatch number, (855) 528-4278, is for electric, water, and wastewater outages or emergencies rather than routine bill payment.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

College Station's CSU TextPower enrollment is text CSU to 979-599-7917 and follow the prompts, but the current City page states that TextPower currently provides electric outage notifications and reporting; expansion to water outage notices is still being worked on. It is not a water-payment authorization channel.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Utility Customer Service is temporarily located in the Municipal Court building at 300 Krenek Tap Road, College Station TX, while the regular facility undergoes maintenance and repairs. Front-counter staff are available on the first floor in the Fire Administration lobby Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The City also accepts applications and account business by phone, mail, fax, online, or in person. The current public pages do not publish a separate network of staffed water-bill payment stores; customers should confirm drop-box and cash/check instructions with Utility Customer Service.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

The authorized CSU/Paymentus portal supports online utility-bill payments, account viewing, paperless billing, and Auto Pay. The current City pages do not expose a complete list of card brands or mobile wallets in accessible text; the adopted fee schedule confirms card transactions are supported. The City also supports automatic bank drafting through the customer portal, while the utility account can include water, sewer, electric, garbage, roadway maintenance, and drainage on one bill.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

The adopted utility fee ordinance lists a $3.00 card-payment service fee per transaction. A returned check is $25.00 and a credit-card chargeback is $27.55 under the current fee schedule accessible through City council materials. Customers should review the Paymentus checkout for the final 2026 amount and any method-specific disclosure before submitting an online payment.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by College Station Utilities (CSU) Water and Wastewater / Utility Customer Service and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
