Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Approximately 15 days from the mailing cycle: the bill is due by 6:00 p.m. on the 15th of the following month, then a final notice allows at least five additional days before the district's disconnect date.
Late-fee calculation
The current customer information states that past-due balances of $50 or less receive a $5 late fee, while past-due balances over $50 receive a 10% late fee. The February 2026 rate order expresses the rule as a one-time penalty of $5 or 10%, whichever is larger, and also lists a $30 returned-check charge.
Disconnection timeline
Bills are due by 6:00 p.m. on the 15th; Jonah mails a final notice with at least five additional days. The disconnect date is published as the Tuesday before the last Wednesday of the month in the customer information, and meters are locked on the last Wednesday for accounts still delinquent. A $75 reconnect fee is assessed and the balance plus fee must be paid before restoration.
