Pay Texarkana Water Utilities – Customer Service Division

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as The live TWU site links to the payments.txkusa.org customer-account/payment portal and is operated through the Utility’s Municipal One website platform. The portal supports account access, quick pay, account history, recurring payments, ACH enrollment, communication preferences, and online card payments.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

TWU’s current text-notification page says to text the keyword “alerts” to 903-403-8779 to receive outage and boil-water notices, and to text STOP, REMOVE ALERTS, or HELP for the corresponding controls. A prior TWU flyer used the keyword “TWTR” to 67332. These are notification alerts, not a bill-payment authorization; the current page does not advertise a text-to-pay payment flow. Customers should use the portal or 1-844-813-4729 for payments.

Mail-in address

Texarkana Water Utilities, P.O. Box 2008, Texarkana, TX 75504. TWU’s payment flyer asks customers to allow up to seven days for mail and to include the account/payment information; use the address on the current bill if the remittance instruction changes.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

TWU’s main office is at 801 Wood Street, Texarkana, TX 75501. The lobby is open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the drive-through is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The drive-through accepts cash, check, money order, or cashier’s check. A payment drop box is in the alley between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and West 9th Street behind 801 Wood Street; it is collected through the business day with a final 5:00 p.m. collection, and later deposits post the next business day.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

TWU accepts online and phone credit/debit-card payments, ACH/automatic bank draft, electronic or bank bill-pay transfers, mailed checks/money orders, and in-person payments. The free ACH service drafts the billed amount from checking or savings on the due date. The live portal controls current card-brand and wallet availability; the published card fee applies to online and phone card transactions.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

For online or phone credit/debit-card payments, TWU’s published fee is the greater of 2.5% of the transaction or $1.95. ACH/automatic bank draft is identified as a free payment service. Customers should confirm the final charge displayed by the payment portal before submitting.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Texarkana Water Utilities – Customer Service Division and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
