What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Dothan provides a Water Leak Adjustment Request form and allows billing adjustments for qualifying domestic residential and commercial water leaks, excluding irrigation accounts and new construction within its restricted period. City ordinance summaries describe a maximum three-month request period, one adjustment within five years for the customer or location, and a 50% adjustment of usage above normal average consumption; customers should repair the leak, retain plumber or supply receipts, submit the form and follow the City's account-review instructions. The City also provides a separate sewer-discount process and advises customers to stop using water and have a plumber identify whether a sewer issue is private or municipal.
