Payment channels

Pay Town of Gilbert Utility Department

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as InvoiceCloud-branded payment platform; Gilbert's 2026 portal transition identifies paperless billing messages from invoicecloud.net, while the official hub supplies the current registration and payment entry point.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

(480) 503-6800; the automated attendant accepts checking, savings, and credit/debit payments 24 hours a day. Live utility support is Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

Gilbert's new utility hub advertises a monthly text payment link, but the reviewed official pages do not publish a keyword, shortcode, or complete opt-in sequence. Customers should register through the official hub, verify the message is associated with their Gilbert account, and avoid paying through unsolicited links.

Mail-in address

Town of Gilbert, Utility Department, PO Box 52653, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2653. The Town asks customers to use the statement return envelope and allow 3-5 days for receipt and processing.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

In-person utility payment and account service are available at 90 E. Civic Center Drive, Gilbert, AZ 85296, Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; the office is closed Fridays, weekends, and Town holidays. Drop boxes are at 50 E. Civic Center Drive and the South Area Service Center, 4760 S. Greenfield Road; deposits made by 7:00 a.m. are processed that day. The public page confirms payment service but does not enumerate every desk instrument, so customers should bring check, money order, or a supported card and confirm cash handling before arrival.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

The current hub lists Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, Visa, and Mastercard, plus checking or savings account payments. Autopay and one-time payments are available; the Town specifically recommends checking or savings to avoid the card fee.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

Credit/debit card payments carry a flat $3.25 convenience fee. Checking or savings account payments are advertised as fee-free. The portal may split card payments over $600 into multiple transactions, which can create multiple card fees.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Town of Gilbert Utility Department and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
