Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
California American Water may provide a high-bill adjustment for a property leak, a known high-use cause such as irrigation left on, or an unexplained single-period high-use event that returns to normal. The customer must resolve the issue before applying and submit the request within six months of occurrence, using the digital form or by email to csc.correspondencebilling@amwater.com, fax to 618-433-4569, or mail to California American Water, P.O. Box 2798, Camden, NJ 08010, Attn: Adjustment Request. The company may request repair documentation such as receipts or contractor invoices; an approved adjustment is placed on the next regular monthly bill, processing can take up to 20 business days, and the customer should pay a normal bill amount while the request is pending. The open balance is not subject to collection activity during processing, but the public instructions do not state one universal adjustment percentage or cap because the amount is determined under the applicable tariff and review.
