Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions
Pay by text
The City’s current payment materials provide e-billing, portal payment, automatic bank payment, and a telephone IVR but do not advertise a text-to-pay enrollment program or public keyword. Customers should not send payment information by an unsolicited text; use the authenticated CSS Portal at utilities.tampagov.net or call (813) 274-8811. E-mail billing can be enabled from the portal by selecting Paperless Billing under account options.
Mail-in address
City of Tampa Utilities, P.O. Box 30191, Tampa, FL 33630-3191. Make checks or money orders payable to City of Tampa Utilities, include the 7-digit utility account number and service address, and use the pre-addressed envelope when available. Payments received after 7:00 p.m. post on the next business day; mailed payments received after a disconnection are not eligible for reinstatement until the payment is received and posted.
Counters, drop boxes, and office hours
The City authorizes payment at any Amscot location; Amscot accepts cash-only utility payments and may apply an additional fee. The City does not publish one universal cashier counter schedule on its payment page, so hours vary by Amscot branch. The Utilities Call Center at 3402 W. Columbus Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 handles account administration and mailed deposit-waiver documents, but the City states that this address is not accessible to the public. Customers at risk of disconnection should contact the Call Center rather than assume an Amscot cash payment will immediately stop field action.
