Provider-specific review
What the public record says about a leak adjustment
JEA evaluates documented leaks over up to two consecutive billing periods. The average is based on the prior three months, the same three months of the prior year, or 6,000 gallons if no average exists. Water and sewer leak adjustments generally reduce calculated excess by 50%, non-sewer wastewater excess may receive a 100% reduction, and eligible leak consumption is capped at 149 kgal; requests require repair documentation and are generally limited to one per meter in five years.
