What the public record says about a leak adjustment
Sioux Falls states that a significant leak that causes water to be billed at a higher tier, or documented water that did not discharge to the sanitary sewer, may qualify for an adjustment in some circumstances. Customers should stop and repair the leak, preserve plumbing or contractor documentation, record the meter reading and repair date, and contact Utility Billing for a case review. The public FAQ does not publish a fixed percentage, maximum number of months, or annual adjustment frequency, so the City determines the credit from the usage history and evidence.
