Pay City of Cleburne Utility Billing Department

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as Tyler Technologies Municipal Online Services. The official Cleburne payment page links to the Cleburne-specific Municipal Online portal, where customers can register, pay utility bills, view monthly billings, payment history, and water consumption. The portal states that payments after 11:00 a.m. post to the utility account on the following business day.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

Cleburne does not publish a bill-payment SMS keyword or text-to-pay enrollment flow. Its separate CivicReady emergency-notification system permits residents to register a phone number and address at cleburne-tx.myfreealerts.com and receive boil-water advisories and other emergency notices by text, email, or voice call. Customers should use Municipal Online Services or 866-341-9322 for payment rather than texting payment credentials.

City of Cleburne Utility Billing Department, P.O. Box 657, Cleburne, TX 76033. The Utility Billing office is physically located at 418 W. Henderson Street, Cleburne, TX 76033; customers mailing checks or money orders should use the published P.O. Box and include the account information from the bill.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

A drive-through is available. Cleburne also advertises a night drop, but the public page does not state its exact collection cutoff or placement beyond the office payment instructions. Cash, check, Visa/Mastercard credit card, and money order are accepted; temporary checks are not accepted.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

Online payments use the Tyler Municipal Online portal; phone payments accept credit or debit cards; the FAQ identifies Visa/Mastercard card payments, bank draft, and money orders, and the City offers automatic bank drafting with a voided check. Customers can also pay through mail and night drop. The official pages do not list Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Discover, or American Express as accepted online instruments.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

The City’s published FAQ identifies a $1.50 fee for credit-card payments and limits that listed card option to Visa/Mastercard. It does not separately publish a current online versus IVR eCheck fee or a percentage surcharge; confirm the final Municipal Online or phone amount before submission.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by City of Cleburne Utility Billing Department and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
