Payment channels

Pay Golden Heart Utilities, Inc. (GHU), Fairbanks Sewer & Water / Nexus Water Group

Use the provider’s verified online, telephone, mail, or counter instructions. Check the final confirmation screen for the amount, processing date, and any transaction fee before submitting.

Primary online route

Use the official payment portal

The direct portal is the fastest route when it is available. The provider identifies its payment gateway as My Account portal operated for the utility group by Nexus Water Group; the public portal does not identify a separate transaction-gateway vendor.. Never enter account credentials into a lookalike site reached through an unsolicited message.

Telephone payment

Phone IVR

(888) 527-9707, then select Option 2. The shared Fairbanks payment page describes a 24/7 IVR for AMEX, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa card payments, account-balance and last-payment information, and recurring card payments.

Have your account number and payment instrument ready. Follow the provider’s recorded prompts and retain the confirmation number.

Alternative channels

Mail, text, and in-person payment instructions

Pay by text

My Account can send text and phone notifications for payment reminders and service notices, but the current Alaska payment page does not publish a Golden Heart-specific SMS keyword, short code, or text-to-pay command. Register through My Account using the 10-digit account number and five-digit service ZIP; verify any separate text-to-pay feature with Customer Service.

Mail-in address

Utility Services of Alaska, P.O. Box 1319, Covina, CA 91722-0319. Include the payment stub and write the 10-digit account number on the check or money order; do not mail cash. The utility warns that unaffiliated services such as Doxo or Mint can delay posting and create late-fee or shutoff risk.

Counters, drop boxes, and office hours

Customer-service and office payments are handled at 3691 Cameron Street, Fairbanks, AK 99709, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; phone representatives are available Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Cash or debit-card payments may also be made at participating Walmart MoneyCenter or Customer Service desks using the utility name and account number and requesting Walmart Bill Pay same-day processing. Customers in disconnection status should retain the confirmation number and call before 3:00 p.m. for turn-on coordination. The shared tariff lists the business office at 3691 Cameron Street, Suite 201, and regular weekday hours excluding holidays.

Accepted digital instruments

What you can use online

The My Account portal supports AMEX, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa credit/debit cards; Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay digital wallets; online banking/eCheck; and bank Auto Pay from checking or savings. The IVR accepts AMEX, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. Business-account card restrictions apply: the portal says business customers cannot use Visa or MasterCard but may pay online by check.

2026 transaction pricing

Convenience fees

The current Golden Heart/College Alaska payment page does not publish a fixed 2026 convenience fee for online cards, eCheck, or digital wallets. Bank Auto Pay is described as free; any fee for a particular payment channel or retailer must be displayed before authorization or confirmed with Customer Service at (907) 479-3118.

Fees can vary by payment type, channel, account class, and processor terms. The checkout screen is the final fee disclosure.

Payment guidance

Choose the payment channel that fits your deadline

The safest payment path is the one published by Golden Heart Utilities, Inc. (GHU), Fairbanks Sewer & Water / Nexus Water Group and matched to the account information on your bill. Online portals are convenient, but telephone, mail, counter, and drop-box options may follow different posting schedules and may use different fees.

For a routine payment, save the final confirmation page or IVR number and check when the transaction will post. For a same-day shut-off notice, do not assume that submitting a card payment automatically stops a field order; ask the provider what amount and confirmation are required.

Never send your account number, password, card details, or bank information to Water Ledger. Those details belong only on the provider’s verified payment channel or at an authorized counter.
