Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Twenty-five days after the bill is rendered under the shared Fairbanks Utilities tariff language; interest begins on day 26. The account is treated as delinquent if unpaid within 40 days after rendering, subject to the effective RCA tariff and notice.
Late-fee calculation
The shared tariff rules state that past-due accounts accrue interest at 10.5% per year, or 0.875% per month, beginning on day 26 after the bill is rendered. A delinquent account may also include actual collection and attorney costs where authorized. The customer statement and effective RCA tariff control if a later approved schedule changes these terms.
Disconnection timeline
The documented progression is bill rendered, day 25 past-due point, day 26 interest commencement, and day 40 delinquency if still unpaid. A disconnection notice supplies the actual scheduled field date. If payment is made within five business days of that scheduled date, the customer must call (907) 479-3118 to ensure the payment is posted and service is not disconnected; the public page does not publish a single fixed day from billing to physical shutoff.
