Notice and timing
How delinquency is handled
Grace period after the due date
Bills are due 21 days after the issue date. The published policy does not create an additional grace period after that due date; a disconnect notice is issued when a monthly statement includes a prior balance.
Late-fee calculation
If the full amount is not paid by the due date, CWLP applies a penalty of 1% per month with a minimum of $0.50. The penalty is calculated on the full past-due amount, including prior penalties, each month until paid. A returned payment currently carries a $20 service charge and must be reimbursed within five business days.
Disconnection timeline
The documented progression is monthly bill issued, payment due after 21 days, disconnect notice when a statement carries a prior balance, and possible service interruption if the delinquency remains unpaid. CWLP does not publish a fixed calendar day for physical water shutoff after the notice; the customer must pay all delinquent amounts plus the water reconnection charge before restoration.
